On a more serious note, I would like to say that I am super proud of being part of this game and I hope that my involvement added a nice flavour to Passpartout 2. If they choose the Flamebait way… they probably will offer me a job or something… I don't know what kind of trouble I will endure for unveiling this. So I made a screen recording of me testing out our new tools🎨, making a self-portrait exclusively for you. What a lousy whistleblower I would be if I didn't disclose anything new. Or simply decent human beings🤔.Īnyways - I guess you knew this already. I have broken the game several times - no punishment! I have on one occasion accidentally knocked a glass of water out of the lead artist's hand without retaliation. I am an intern, for christ's sake! Yes, I’ve been writing professionally for 20 years but still: an intern! Why don’t they want my coffee ☕️? They are actually listening to what I have to say and are, at this very moment, implementing my designs into Passpartout 2. I hosted game tests and analyzed the results.

Flamebait… made me work! I’ve been forced to make character designs, and quests and write narratives and dialogues from day one. Because it has to be something, right? And wow… I mean WOW😲!įirst of all, as an intern, you expect to get simple tasks like making coffee, sorting papers, and maybe hosting an Instagram account for a week or two. Late in life, I found a way into the gaming industry and applied for an internship at Flamebait with the aim to expose them. I was a storyteller working with film, books and music - telling made-up stories all day long. I’m telling you this because it needs to come out. In the meantime, I want to show you a huge addition to the game you’ve been dreaming of since you got to lay your hands on the demo.My name is Kalle and I’ve been spending the last six months as an intern at Flamebait Games and I can tell you… while hacking this newsletter… that the Flamebait crew is a bunch of crazy wild cats and has no limits whatsoever. Next time around I’ll be showing you some of our new tools we got cooking. In other exciting news, we got nominated for “Excellence in Art🏆”! No, win for us this time around but we’re super happy just to be on the radar with our cute puppet vibes! Though I have to say that the “Excellence in Art” should really be awarded to some of our players. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and tried the game! We were met with such warmth and kindness and got to hear a few personal stories from playing the first game that truly moved us. Showing the game in Korea was a joy beyond what we could’ve ever imagined. First, the team took a well-deserved break for summer and after that, I was away in Germany for Gamescom and Korea for Busan Indie Connect! Busy times, but so much fun!! You’ll soon be able to see for yourselves.
